Conceptualising Open Source Product

NMX is looking to put small groups of geeks together to explore opportunities in shared open source product. Working from the principle and example of the Druple, LINUX, and the Leggo design base, workshops are planned later in the year to develop strategic alliances between designers, programmers, concepteurs and the user/consumer base. Open source product provides a huge opportunity to penetrate the growing markets in open source applications, including games, search engines, web design, commercial advertisers, film and TV as well as bespoke products for public and private sectors.

Workshoops will comprise minimum two and maximum eight people. Workshops are free and will include IP and commercial issues, a business planning and financing package where feasibility of commercial investment stacks up.
