Currently taking submissions from London Filmmakers for our 2nd London Filmmakers Convention. Send in DVD of your film and Entry Form from website www.portobellofilmfestival.com Deadline 9 November. Please mark entry form LFC 2. All films submitted at the London Filmmakers Convention will also be eligible for Portobello Film Festival 2008

The London Film Makers Convention will feature premieres and state of the art movies from London filmmakers plus seminars, Q&As, talks and masterclasses from some of our favourite film makers focussing on low budget, digital, alternative, and London film making.

- Stephen Frears (subject to availability). - Apple Final Cut Pro Demo. - Nick Marq from Latimer films on street movie making and his new film based on Oliver Twist. - Menhaj “Kidulthood” Huda and Courttia Newland on synergy between Scriptwriters and Directors. - Commissioning Editors from Warp, Palm Pictures and Damon Albarn discuss and screen state of the art Music Videos. - Johnny Oddball on the 24 Hour Film Challenge of making a film in 24 hours. - Film Makers Against The War on Political Film Making and online Distribution.

The Festival will be broadcast live on the internet by Westway TV.
