Yiannis Maglaras

9 years solid working experience in IT that includes both web and mobile industry.

Started as network and systems administrator at the network operation center of Hellas On Line, a start up then but a leading ISP in South Eastern Europe now, whilst studying informatics and telecommunications at University of Athens.

Soon after graduating moved to London to pursue an MSc degree in Computing and Internet systems at King's College London from which graduated with distinction. Whilst studying for MSc, started working for LondonTown.com as one of their first developers working on the development of their e-commerce platform and products with immediate impact to the growth and scalability of the business.

Having realized as early as 2003 the potential of mobile phones for wide range of applications, got involved on part-time basis with the research, development and trialling of different mobile services int the area of Bluetooth and SMS marketing campaigns, a venture that got absorbed by Icomgroup in 2005. Since then helped create the Icom Mobile Team in 2005 and now leads in the development of cutting-edge Java and Mobile Web applications.

A few months ago, parted with a team of professionals in mobile sector to set up Ubinow that specializes in the design and development of innovative solutions for problems that arise when being mobile.
