Visiting Prisons aims to improve the experience of visiting someone in prison. Families with a member in prison are often vulnerable and isolated, while visiting a prison is often torturous. Prisoners in contact with their families are better able to cope with life behind bars, and less likely to re-offend having maintained reasons to want to be in the outside world.Children with access to their Mother/Father stay more engaged with their education. In turn, with over 200,000 prisoners in the UK, by improving visits for families a negative chain reaction will be broken, benefiting our whole society.

VisitingPrisons grew out of Social Innovation camp, and is an ongoing, collective effort to bring find a way to bring attention to this social need.
